Optical Illusion

You’ll notice a theme emerging here. I was in Blackpool at the Pleasure Beach recently and took this shot. At the time I didn’t notice but if you look more closely… the Grand National building appears further away than the blue support structure yet it is actually in front!? Nothing other than a crop and a levels tickle done to the photo so can you explain it?!

Deer

After spending an afternoon clay pigeon shooting with my brother and a couple of friends, as we had packed up all the guns and were heading home, this Deer decided to wander through the front garden of the place we had been shooting at. Needless to say it was never in any danger had we had the guns to hand anyway. I’d much rather “shoot” creatures like this with my camera than any kind of weapon. A wonderful sight to end the day with and thankfully I had the right lens on the camera at the time. Such a shame I was shooting in to the sun and don’t have a hood for my EF-S 55-250mm lens or this on might have come out much better than it did.

A big welcome back to the crew of Red Dwarf. I caught the first episode last night and had the DVD recorder going five minutes before it started just to make sure everything was working! Some good old laughs were had and I must say Kryten is exactly as he was ten years ago – just brilliant.

The second of three episodes is on tonight on Dave at 9pm! If you’re a Red Dwarf fan, don’t miss it!
