Liberty, freedom and justice

“The Human Rights Act is part of the essential checks and balances which help to ensure that we can properly participate in a democratic society without repressive state intervention. It would be a blow for liberty and democracy if, as some have suggested, it were to be abolished.”

Surveillance and monitoring via the National ID and DNA database schemes by a repressive regime…. by a government and parliament proven to be  infested with greed and corruption from the very top to the very bottom is destroying the freedom and civil liberties that are democracy’s foundations. It’s time it changed. It’s time we, the people, stopped being complacent and told those whom we elected that enough is enough. Stop using scare tactics to frighten people in to giving up their freedom and stop using “terrorists” as an excuse to monitor, record and track us like cattle. We rule this country, not you – and don’t you forget it.
